Oddly enough, while researching gpu upgrades, I found out the gtx 660 I have as well as the gtx 660ti can only really utilize 1.5gb of their 2gb of VRAM, much like the 3.5gb fiasco with the gtx 970 due to their design. I occasionally stream and noticed myself having to turn down game settings down, I'm assuming my cpu is more than good enough....i5 3570k and all...so the gtx 660 seems to be the weak point with it's 1.5gb of "fast" vram not being enough now days for 1080p new AAA releases.
I was thinking maybe R9 380X? I know the 280x was a rebrand of the hd 7970ghz which was the single best AMD gpu when I built my pc a few years ago, so the 380x with it's updated 4gb vram (vs 3gb on the 280x and 7970ghz) seems not bad. There's also the gtx 960 4gb to look at.....the r9 390 8gb vram gpu is very enticing however.
it would be a step back in terms of the integrated graphics, but I thought of even selling the i5 3570k and getting the i7 2600k for the 8 threads. Way cheaper than getting the i7 3770k
